Blackboard Help


FACULTY:

Logging In

Blackboard can be accessed anywhere, anytime, by first establishing an Internet connection and then pointing your browser to http://blackboard.newark.rutgers.edu.   For faculty, access to your course is a two-step process. You must first login to Blackboard using your NetID and password.

  • If you have not created an account yet, you can do so online by following the directions at http://oit.rutgers.edu/accounts and select the Newark campus (andromeda).
  • Please Note: - Blackboard is updated with NetIDs once a day, therefore there may be a delay of up to 48 hours after creating a NetID before you can access Blackboard.
  • If you don't know if you've created a NetID, you can check the NetID Query Page at https://www.acs.rutgers.edu/netidquery.
  • If you have forgotten your password, you can contact the NCS Help Desk at (973) 353 - 5083 or help@newark.rutgers.edu to reset your password.

By default, courses are created in Blackboard every semester by the Office of Academic Technology must link you to your course. You can request this by completing the form at: https://rutgers.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_6PQgJJHzsW6185T

An Online Instructor's Guide is available from within your course by going to the blue Control Panel from the left navigation menu, clicking Help and then Guide. Blackboard also provides additional resources from the On Demand option.
